"Nude on Wood"

"......There I stood in the ally of a busy fish market in the Asakusa district of Tokyo. Not far behind me rest this magnificent rustic ancient Senso-ji Temple, which was framed by a backdrop of concrete and steel high-rises. This clash of historical icons struck me as how far we as mankind have evolved culturally and technologically. My immediate reaction was to reach for my sketchbook. Like any typical Tokyo summer day, the air that day was very humid and uncomfortable, which was a constant reminder that I have not shower in three days. Despite all that, it did not spoil my mood for more sketches as I wondered around the city in search of fascinating subjects. By the end of the day I was rewarded top four sketches. Then it was time for some much-needed rest as I found myself checking in to a capsule hotel...."
